TimberLab has been producing prefabricated timber structures, nationally and internationally; mainly in the commercial arena for over 50 years. The recent acquisition of NZ’s first 5 axis CNC bridge processor – Weinmann MP240 has significantly increased our capabilities in this area. [...]
Each floor section covers up to 16 square metres. Using a Timber Concrete Composite (TCC) design developed by CHH Woodproducts, TimberLab has prefabricated these cassettes using LVL joists and plywood. With CNC technology, shear keys have been rebated into the joists. Once delivered to site the cassettes are lifted onto first floor framing in quick time. [...]
