Manufacturing Standards, Compliance & Warranty
Red Stag TimberLab manufactures engineered timber products in accordance with recognised New Zealand and international standards.
Our products comply with:
- • AS/NZS 1328.1 – Glue Laminated Structural Timber
- • AS 5068 – Finger Jointed Structural Timber
- • EN 16351 – Cross Laminated Timber (CLT)
All products are manufactured using kiln-dried, strength-graded timber and controlled production processes to ensure consistency and structural performance.
Red Stag TimberLab is independently audited and certified to manufacture in accordance with these standards.
Durability:
Our products are designed to meet the durability requirements of the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC Clause B2), subject to:
- • Correct specification and design for the intended environment
- • Appropriate treatment selection (where required)
- • Compliance with handling, installation, and maintenance guidance
For exterior applications, treatment levels (such as H3.2 or as specified) are selected based on project requirements. Durability performance depends on correct system design and ongoing protection of the timber in service.
Warranty:
Red Stag TimberLab provides a 10-year structural warranty across its Glulam, CLT, and LVL products, covering:
- • Material quality
- • Manufacturing workmanship
- • Structural performance in accordance with project documentation
This warranty applies from the date of delivery.
Third-Party Components:
Where third-party products (such as brackets, fasteners, coatings, or membranes) are supplied and installed by Red Stag TimberLab:

- • Product warranties remain with the original manufacturer or supplier
- • Red Stag TimberLab does not provide material warranties for these items
- • Installation is carried out in accordance with manufacturer requirements to support applicable warranties
