Auckland Zoo Administration Building Wins Commercial Architecture Award 2019
When Auckland Zoo decided they needed a larger administration area, Ignite Architects were engaged to design their new space.
Ignite worked with TimberLab Solutions and BGT engineers to ensure the design was cost efficient to manufacture.
The open interior features Glulam portal frames to the gables and saw tooth roof line as well as showing off other feature timbers throughout, with CLT stairs and mezzanine floors and decorative plywood linings for a modern, warm working space.
The completed project is a light, bright, attractive & economical solution.
Construction completed by NZ Strong who directly engaged TimberLab to supply the Glulam components.
