We’re all extremely proud of Owen Griffiths who was named “Wood Warrior” industry champion at last week’s NZ Wood-Resene Timber Design Awards. In bestowing the honour on him, Chair of WPMA Brian Stanley pointed out that Owen “really understands the industry” and is an active member of a number of industry organisations.
Owen is Sales and Marketing Director, having been at TimberLab for 49 years. For most of that time he has been involved in the development and manufacture of laminated, structural timbers including #Glulam, #LVL and #CLT & over that time, has been instrumental in introducing NZ laminated timber elements to many overseas construction markets, previously dominated by steel and concrete.
It was a very exciting evening for us all at TimberLab as we were also involved in the Supreme Award-Winning Project for the 2nd Year Running.
