The use of curved Glulam portal frames was an excellent choice of material for this private residence and is a great example of the versatility of TimberLab Glulam.
From the architects; ” We had a lot of fun designing and building the Lilypad House. The client in particular wanted a kind of house that had not been seen before and it was exciting to be pushing boundaries.
In searching for a material that would best express the curving structure, glulam beams were the perfect choice. The refined, 5mm laminations accentuate the form of the beams and give a vibrant, fine detail that visually warms the house.”
