Sound in their position as Australasia’s most experienced and versatile Glulam manufacturer, TimberLab was successful in providing the winning solution for the Bold Park Aquatic Centre in Perth, Western Australia.

The project required the precise prefabrication of numerous curved portal frames. Exacting splice joints were involved in order to piece the large Glulam sections into their final form once on site. Using GL10 grade treated Radiata pine, TimberLab produced the most cost-effective solution with its combination of curved and straight members.

With all members cut to length, slotted and rebated; each was identified and labelled for a specific location, packed in containers and shipped from Auckland to site in Perth.
