Our premises feature Glulam portal frames, Glulam gantry beams and showcase elegant reverse curved Glulam beams. Since 1958 The Company has provided complete design, manufacture, supply and installation supervision packages for engineered timber structures, with around 65% of production being for international projects.
A full range of Glulam options as well as CLT and fabricated LVL structural solutions are produced in our plant in compliance with the strict requirements of internationally recognised codes and standards. Specialised plant and equipment have been developed to enable the efficient production of high quality solutions. The installation of a 5 axis CNC Gantry Bridge means we are able to offer specialist detailing and efficient processing and finishing of complex timber structures.
Red Stag TimberLab is a privately owned company. The management of the company is the responsibility of Managing Director, Darren Stead who enjoys the loyal support of factory, sales and office staff; many of whom have been with the company for more than 30 years. They are all supported by the Red Stag board of Directors.
Our aim is to be the best provider of innovative, cost-effective and customised engineered timber solutions throughout New Zealand and to offshore markets.

Working with timber from sustainably harvested plantation forests, Red Stag TimberLab offers an environmentally responsible construction option, backed by FSC® Chain of Custody Certification.

In 2019, The Company, as a member of the Wood Processors and Manufacturers Association of NZ (WPMA) contributed to the submission for timber products made in New Zealand from Radiata Pine. This was subsequently approved and the EPD was registered and published. This assesses environmental impact, resource use, and waste & output across 27 different criteria.
